Managed Website Hosting

Your website should never go dark. Ever.

If it does, you don’t just lose traffic — you can lose trust, rankings, and revenue.

One Wheel manages your hosting like it’s mission critical… because it is.

SPEED | faster experience

SECURITY | protected 24/7

MONITORED | no guessing

HANDLED | 1 point of contact

We Don’t Just Host Your Site

We Take Responsibility For It

One Wheel becomes your single point of control for:

Hosting
DNS
Backups
Security
Access

No finger pointing. No “talk to your developer.” No chasing vendors.

Why Managed Hosting: Unmanaged hosting creates quiet, expensive problems.

Speed affects everything
Faster hosting means a better experience for your visitors, and direct rewards in search rankings.

Security is invisible until it isn’t
An unpatched plugin or expired SSL certificate can take your site offline or expose client data without warning.

Billing gaps kill SEO
An accidental lapse in hosting billing can take your site dark. And recovering lost search ranking takes months.

Turnover is a threat
When staff changes, hosting credentials and DNS settings often disappear with them. We hold everything in one place, so access doesn’t leave with people.

  • Importance of the 3-2-1 Method for Video Production Data Management

Reliable data management is crucial for success as video production, editing, and streaming are part of the core marketing mix for nearly every business type. The 3-2-1 method is the strategy that ensures the security and accessibility of valuable video assets.

Why is the 3-2-1 method essential for video production?

    1. Redundancy: By following the 3-2-1 rule, we maintain three copies of video data on two different types of storage media, with one copy stored off-site. This redundancy minimizes the risk of data loss due to hardware failures, human error, or unexpected disasters.

    2. Data Protection: Protecting your video production data is non-negotiable. The 3-2-1 method provides a structured approach to data backup and storage, reducing the likelihood of irreparable loss that could compromise your projects or business.

    3. Efficient Retrieval: Quick and reliable access to your video files is essential for seamless workflow and project delivery. The 3-2-1 method ensures that you can retrieve your data promptly, even in the face of disruptions or emergencies.

Utilizing the 3-2-1 method for video production data management is a proactive step toward safeguarding your creative work and maintaining operational continuity. We don't leave your valuable assets vulnerable to unforeseen risks - One Wheel prioritizes data security and resilience with the 3-2-1 approach.

    One Wheel Takes It Farther:

    • 3-2-1 taken to the next level: Instead of 3 copies, you get 5 (2 on each server using RAID, plus 1 in the cloud).

    • Professional Streaming with Vimeo For Published Finals: includes 2TB of total bandwidth usage per month across all customers at no additional charge

    • Customized Video Player: Get custom colors and after-video options in your embeddable Vimeo player

    • One Wheel 360 Clients get 80% Discount on video storage. For O360 clients, we only charge for the amount of storage managed, not for each instance of that storage.
      For example, 10TB X 2 (RAID) X 2 (OFFSITE LOCATION) + 1 CLOUD = 50TB.
We only charge OW360 clients for 10TB.

    • No delays for our editors downloading massive files from the cloud – access to video files is on multiple physical servers in locations we control. This makes for fast edits for our producers to respond quickly to your video needs

    • Hosting of video files on our pro-level streaming subscriptions at no additional cost

    • Free editing bandwidth – never a premium added for bandwidth during editing for downloading or uploading original and working files

    Our Cost: $15/TB/month

Long-Term Video archival for unneeded footage can be requested for $1.50/TB/month, paid annually. Project or hourly cost for partial footage archive may be required. Retrieval fee is based on hours required. See Policies.

    Cost comparison:

    • Vimeo Enterprise: ~$20/TB, on-site fast access not included

    • Wistia: ~$20-30/TB, on-site fast access not included

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3: ~$23/TB. Fast access with CloudFront CDN ~$85/TB not including bandwidth

    • Google Cloud Storage: ~$20/TB, bandwidth not included, on-site fast access not included

    • Backblaze: ~28/TB including bandwidth, on-site fast access not included

*Higher levels of hosting are also available for websites with databases, large amounts of storage, or dedicated servers.

*Domain names, SEO, forms, and plugins are separate from hosting.

*Email is also separate from hosting and we will recommend Microsoft or Google solutions through a local IT company or one of our trusted partners.

What is the process for Migrating website hosting?

1) backup
2) transfer
3) test

We’ve been launching and transferring website for 25 years. It’s important to get every file carefully transferred and accounted for on your new server, and to minimize or eliminate any downtime – whether you are migrating to our serves or from them.

We create a safety net with a backup, work with both hosts on the transfer, carefully document DNS settings, monitor the new security settings as they are updated, test the hosting, and then follow up with more backups.

We’ve overcome tangled DNS settings, hosting held hostage from previous vendors, and a multitude of other issues.

Your email will remain with your current provider during this time, and we can work with your IT department to implement a transfer that does not drop any emails.

You can rest assured that with a quoted flat fee, your hosting transfer will be completed to your satisfaction no matter what issues have built up over the years – and you’ll be in a stronger position for years to come. Contact us for details on our white glove hosting transfer process.
