How to Find a Page Name & URL on Squarespace

Understanding how to navigate Squarespace is a very useful skill to have as the owner of your new website. With this knowledge you can make edits to your site with confidence, or send your edit requests to One Wheel with the information necessary to receive quick and accurate assistance.

Learn how to find the page name and URL of each page on your Squarespace site

The page name and URL of a page are very helpful and important to include in any change request you send to the team here at One Wheel Marketing. Follow the directions below to gain this great new skill!

1) First, access and log in to your website.

2) Click on “Pages”

3) All of your pages and their titles are on the left.

 
 

4) Some of your pages are in the navigation menus, but most are under “NOT LINKED” (below navigation menus). 

a) A single page is indicated by the symbol below.

b) A page that has multiple sections is called an index, and is indicated by the symbol below on the left. The sections are indicated by the symbol on the right (the same symbol that indicates a single page).

c) You may see links to a page in the navigation menus, indicated by the symbol below. Access those pages under “NOT LINKED”.

d) There are also folders that are simply used for organizing pages when editing the site. Folders are indicated by the symbol below.

5) Keep in mind that some pages are only used for background purposes, such as a thank you redirect page for a contact form. 

6) You can also navigate your website as if you were a visitor to the site, and use the list of pages on the left as a reference. 

7) To access a page URL, click on the page name. The page should show up on the right.

a) Click on this symbol:

 
 

b) Now your URL field will show the current page you are on. Use this when filling out the Website Edits Google Doc or putting in a change request.
